What happens now?

When life changes you, it can be hard to know what still feels like you. This short reflection is a gentle place to begin. No need to retell the experience or have the right words.

Begin with one honest question

A creative reflection · 10 minutes

  1. 1. See the moment.

Without writing the whole story, name the moment or change that made life feel different. A word or phrase is enough. You can skip this if it doesn’t feel right today.

  2. 2. Feel what shifted.

Choose a color, a song, or a few words for what you notice in yourself now. What feeling, need, or part of you might be asking for a little attention?

  3. 3. Choose one small next step.

Finish this sentence: “One small way I could make room for myself this week is…” Let the answer be yours, not what you think you should do.

Keep this page open, write in a notebook, or simply reflect. You don’t have to share your answers with anyone.

The authorship process: See, Feel, Choose
“The journey of a thousand li commenced with a single step.”

A small reflection can be a beginning. It doesn’t have to solve the whole story.
